We have designed mazes for hay fields, lawns, and hay bales.  I would love to design (and build) a large maze for you.

We have found that it becomes a more interesting maze if there are objects hidden in the maze. For the hay field maze, we had colored flags with clues.   You had to go to the correct colored flag, record the clue and solve the puzzle.  It was great watching families gathered around the picnic table unscrambling the letters to come up with the right words.  

In the hay bale maze for small kids, we hid plywood cutouts of various animals for them to find.

Lawn mazes are quite nice, if you have a large lawn/field.  Kids love to play tag games on them. I found it a great meditative walk area.
